Temper tantrum of the day award

infovlad reports the discovery of a series of graphics threatening death and destruction against Denmark, by the same "artist" who produced similar works threatening Sweden in April of this year (2005).

These files have most likely been posted on some forum (we believe Vlad found them in a file dump). If you find them 'in the wild' please send in the URL.

We find it hard to believe such over-the-top graphics represent a credible threat, but they are representative of the kind of apocolyptic wishful thinking that is so common among Islamic extremists. Nevertheless, we grow weary of these displays of self-righteous rage and find ourselves lacking any humour or sympathy with regards to the "artist".

A few closing notes:

1. "The Glory Brigades in Northern Europe" is most likely a reference to "The Glory Brigades in the Land of the Nile", an unknown group, which took responsibility for the suicide attack against tourists in Cairo in 7 April 2005.

2. The logo of the Islamic Media Center, featured on the Swedish graphics, is absent from these newer works. This may be an effort to hide the identity of the "artist", and not much of an attempt at that. It is pretty obvious that the same hand produced both sets of graphics.

3. The second graphic (above) features a face, quite possibly that of the "artist":

4. We have reason to suspect that the "artist" has been living in Sweden and may still be there. We also suspect that the "artist" is male and North African by birth.
